Bullet Journal: June 2023

June 2023, I’m at a bit of a late start to the year but it’s been another busy one so far! I’ve just finished the second year of my BA and have another few months of breaks before I’m back at it again, so I’m hoping to finally catch back up with my journaling and blogging^^.

I’m using a different brand of Journal this month too, I thought it was about time I explored some different companies’ products so I can find what works best!

(This year’s journal is from Stationary Island – but I’ll mention more on that at the end of this post)

Cover Page

I’ve been using more of my brush pens recently, I’m still not too confident in large and more complex coloured pieces but It’s definitely an improvement from my earlier spreads that used mostly pencil.

Now since it’s June and I’m starting back up later I went for a simple citrus cover^^

(Although upon reflection – I should have used a brush pen or something similar for the title ‘June’)

Calendar

It’s Father’s Day and a bunch of birthdays this month (at least in my case), and I have a bunch of work hours to incorporate into my month now, so I’m hoping to actually make use of this calendar spread to organise my time a little better^^

Mood Tracker

I draw a mood tracker almost every month and yet I constantly fail to complete it. (it’s the effort that counts though!^^) I’m hoping that if I just keep at it, I’ll eventually create a better habit of it!

I chose an obvious Ice lolly design for this month’s mood tracker and since I’ve realised I struggle with recognising or putting a name to certain emotions, I used an emotion wheel to base my options off of.

To-Do List

Although it doesn’t always get used much (especially now that I’m on a break from uni), it’s always handy to have a to-do list for the month.

Maybe now I can add my blog posts back onto my to-do lists…^^”

Exercise Log

Another obstacle for me to cross is keeping up with exercise. I’m not great at being consistent but I’m good at trying again and again…

I’ve also taken to logging my measurements and weight at the start and end of the month so I can check if I’ve been making any progress towards my goals^^

Habit Tracker

A habit tracker is always useful when you have a lot of daily tasks or things to remember. I find it useful for keeping an eye on when I have to take medications or to keep track of how much I’ve read or written in a month, or even just to help me build a new habit such as making my bed every morning or keeping things tidy!

A habit tracker can be used to keep track of things you want to quit too, like quitting smoking or biting nails

Budget

With the way money works these days I find it’s important for me to have a budget tracker of some sort. I find it useful to be able to check off when certain bills have been paid and to be able to look at it all in front of me each month!

(I usually like to add some kind of box for income and outgoings too)

Brain Dump

Another page I like to keep even though I don’t use much is my Brain Dump page. Sometimes I need to make a note of something that doesn’t quite fit into other pages, so I just dump them on this page!^^

Weekly Spread

My weekly spread is missing a few things this month, I was a little short on time. I’m considering changing this spread up again soon too, I’m not too sure it works for me now, but it’ll do for now^^

One thing I noticed using this Stationary Island journal is that the paper quality isn’t as good as what I’m used to(my pens have leaked through in some places). I’m a big fan of the cover of the journal and the name page at the front though!

I know I’ve got a lot to do and catch up on at the minute, but I think this is a pretty good start!^^
