Describe one of your favorite moments.

I lay there on an old, splintered pallet crate that was anchored to the beach. When the tide came in, it floated about – perfect for people to climb on and jump into the water from. When the tide was out, it sat on a barran land of sand.

This particular night, I was alone. The tide was on its way in, I lay on my back as I listened to the water creeping around me. My eyes fixed to the sky above me, the stars plastered the sky, tiny little lights – thousands, millions. Fought against each other for the spot light as if light pollution didn’t yet exist. The longer I stared, the more the galaxies showed themselves to me. Colours intertwined behind the crisp and whole moon that glared down at me in its crystal clear sky.

Half an hour passed, and the waves crashed against me, splashing against my coat. I took that as my sign to leave and tore my eyes away from the sky, hopped off the pallet, and waddled my way through the water back to land.
